                                Second All-Union Conference in Programming

                                                           VKP-2

                                            First Announcement

 

The Second All-Union Conference in Programming is to be held in Novosibirsk
February 3-6, 1970, by the USSR SCST Joint Commission on Computer Software and
the Computing Center of Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

 

For conducting of the Conference an Organizing Committee under the chairmanship
of Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences Andrei Petrovich Ershov is
formed. The Organizing Committee address is:

                    Novosibirsk 90

                    Computing Center

                    VKP-2 Organizing Committee

 

The Organizing Committee should receive applications for participation in the
Conference from individuals, institutions and departments no later than 1
September 1969.

 

Application from an individual must contain his working place, job position,
scientific degree, and home address.

 

Application from an institution must contain the number of requested invitation
cards and the mailing address for correspondence.

 

Application from a department must contain the number of requested invitation
cards, the number of participating institutions, and the mailing address for
correspondence.

 

The total number of conference participants is limited to 800 persons.

 

For preparation of the Conference program a Program Committee under the
chairmanship of Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences Mikhail Romanovich
Shura-Bura is formed. The Program Committee address is:

                    Institute of Applied Mathematics of the USSR Academy of Sciences

                    VKP-2 Program Committee

 

The conference presentations will include review talks invited by the Program
Committee and accepted contributed talks.

 

Applications for contributed paper submission should be received by the Program
Committee no later than 1 August 1969, and contain the following:

1. The authors' full names

2. The mailing address for correspondence

3. The paper title and the relevant conference topic

4. Abstract (no more than one page of text)

5. Preliminary paper version not exceeding 15 pages of printed text in 2-space
format (two copies)

 

All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings. Materials for
publication must be received by the Organizing Committee no later than 15
October 1969, and contain:

1. The complete manuscript prepared according to instructions the authors will
receive along with the notification of acceptance.

2. Publication permission documents.
