        of scientists from capitalist countries invited to attend the 2nd All-Union
                                Conference in Programming

 

1. Dr. Mike Woodeger - England, National Physics Laboratory, Teddington. The
         chairman of the IFIP Working group on programming principles. One of the authors
         of Algol 60 and Algol 68 languages. Noted for his works in programming languages
         and operating systems.

2. Dr. Paul Armer - USA, Stanford University. Head of the Stanford University
        Computing Center, President of the American Federation of Information Processing
        Societies.

3. Prof. John McCarthy - USA, Stanford University. Scientific Supervisor of
        Stanford Artificial Intelligence Project. Specialist in programming theory,
        artificial intelligence and shared computer systems.

4. Dr. John Cocke - USA, IBM Scientific-Research Center in New York. A leading
        USA specialist in high-quality compiler development.

5. Dr. Peter Ingerman - USA, RSA company, Camden, New Jersey. Head of the
        Programming Languages Standardization Department. A leading specialist in
        programming languages standardization. Noted for his works in machine-oriented
        programming meta-languages.

6. Prof. Louis Bolliet - France, Grenoble University. A leading French scientist
        in compiler and programming languages construction. Widely noted for his works
        in shared programming systems development.

7. Dr. L. Nolin - France, IRIA Research Center, Paris. Well-known specialist in
        programming.

8. Prof. Fritz Bauer - FRG, Munich Higher School Institute of Applied
        Mathematics. One of  the founders of automatic programming and an author of
        Algol 60 and Algol 68 languages. Head of the group developing the world first
        Algol 68 programming system.

9. Prof. Heinz Zemanek - Austria, Vienna. Vice-President of the International
        Federation for Information Processing (IFIP).

10. Prof A. VanWijngaarden - Netherlands. The Hear of Algol 68 development
        group.
