D.Aufenkamp and his wife are delighted to have seen A.Ershov again in USA and to learn that his health is improving. D.Aufenkamp has also oncological problems which are discussed further in this letter.

The author tries to encourage his American friends in a troublesome periog of their life, relates of his problems, recollects the "inforgettable trip" of younger programmers around USA.

In reply to the wellcome letter the authors inform of their own good news: Don is happy that the brain tumor and other tumors have dissapeared thanks to the treatment with interferon; Sue will participate in International Congress that will take place in Moscow, in August 17-22. She will visit Leningrad, Tashkent and Samarkand. They hope that the control inspectation of A.Ershov in Moscow gave positive results.
